Job summary

North Park University invites applications for adjunct instructors to teach introductory courses in French, German, Italian, and Spanish as term-by-term assignments in the Modern Languages Department.

Compensation is by semester hour; starting at $3,400 for a four-semester-hour course. No benefits are provided. A master's degree and teaching experience are required, with Canvas LMS experience preferred. Courses are flexible and aligned with NP's mission.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a master’s degree in the language or related field and teaching experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for undergraduate instruction.
• Familiarity with Canvas LMS or similar learning platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory courses in French, German, Italian, and Spanish as sections become available.
• Utilize NP syllabus template and approved textbooks; align with Canvas LMS for course delivery.
• Submit course syllabus to dean one week before the course start date.
• Adhere to scheduled meeting times and be available to students by email/appointment.
