Job summary

Austin Community College District is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Japanese language and culture, developing engaging coursework and fostering belonging for a diverse student body.

The role requires a Master's in Japanese (or a Master's with 18 graduate hours in Japanese) and the ability to teach across face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats using Blackboard, Zoom, and other digital resources. This is a part-time faculty position within ACC's World Languages Department.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Japanese or Master's with 18 graduate hours in Japanese.
• Experience teaching Japanese language at the college level.
• Ability to teach in multiple modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, distance education).
• Commitment to student success and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and teach courses in Japanese to a varied student population.
• Evaluate student progress and provide timely feedback reflecting outcomes.
• Provide teaching and mentoring services without discrimination.
