Qualifications

• BA or equivalent completed by start date.
• Proven knowledge of language pedagogy.
• Advanced-level proficiency in Italian (ACTFL rating).
• Experience teaching university Italian courses preferred.
• Curriculum development experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach and advise students in beginner, intermediate, and advanced Italian courses.
• Use department-approved curriculum for conversation, reading, and writing.
• Support students in developing real-world language applications.
• Attend monthly training meetings and collaborate with faculty for consistency.
• Mentor students in writing and speaking; assist with study abroad and internships.
• Contribute to course curriculum development as needed.
