Job summary

Brigham Young University is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach Spanish and Portuguese at the 300 level. A Master’s degree in Spanish or related field and university teaching experience with near-native fluency are required.

Qualifications

• Professional teaching experience in Spanish.
• Near-native fluency in written and spoken Spanish.
• Experience teaching at the university level preferred; familiarity with online teaching a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach 1 to 3 third-year undergraduate Spanish courses (SPAN 321, 322, SWGL).
• Hold office hours and communicate with students via email.
• Attend meetings/trainings with the coordinator of third-year instruction and participate in professional development.
• Participate in the annual Foreign Language Fair.
