Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience teaching undergraduate courses; five years to teach graduate courses
• Master's Degree in field of instruction from a regionally accredited institution
• Doctorate in field of instruction from a regionally accredited institution
• Background check required for selected candidates
• Resume and/or CV and unofficial transcripts required

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses
• Prepare course materials and lessons; time varies by experience
• Provide clear course expectations, outlines, and syllabus
• Assign relevant assignments demonstrating learning outcomes
• Engage and communicate with students to foster learning
• Complete assessments, grade books, and final grade sheets
• Respond to student questions within 48 hours
• Refer at-risk students to academic support services
• Ensure program learning outcomes are delivered as defined
• Maintain safety and sanitation where applicable in labs
• Post and maintain office and classroom schedules
• Support retention activities for program, campus, and university
• Attend in-services and professional development
• Complete required professional development and training
• Maintain credentials as required by accrediting bodies
