Roanoke-Chowan Community College is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach Welding on-site. The role involves providing high-quality, effective instruction in assigned courses on a temporary, part-time basis. Employment as an adjunct is contingent upon institutional needs and meeting the required qualifications.

Job Description
  1. Teach Welding courses in-person (day, evening, or weekends).
  2. Foster a safe and organized learning environment.
  3. Grade assignments and provide feedback, maintaining grades in Moodle.
  4. Guide, manage, and facilitate the class effectively.
  5. Develop classroom materials, design curriculum, and use assessment techniques.
  6. Maintain accurate attendance and academic records, including syllabi.
  7. Ensure timely communication with supervisors and students.
  8. Complete mandatory training and participate in campus activities.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in welding.
  • Subject matter expertise in cutting, basic welding techniques, pipe and plate methods.
  • Self-starter and team player.
  • Willing to take on additional duties and participate in professional development.
