The University of North Texas at Dallas College of Education and Human Development invites applications for the position Adjunct Instructor to teach in Teacher Education Undergraduate and/or Graduate Programs for the Fall 2026 semester. Position Overview

The Adjunct Instructor position at UNT Dallas involves teaching one or two courses per semester, depending on the institution's needs based on student enrollment. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality instruction in undergraduate courses and or graduate courses. This role requires a commitment to fostering an engaging and learning environment that supports student success. Adjunct faculty members are expected to collaborate with colleagues to maintain academic standards and ensure the alignment of course objectives with program goals.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or Teacher Education with at least 18 credit hours at the doctoral level in bilingual education.
  • A minimum of three years teaching, in the public-school systems in elementary education subjects
  • Texas Principal Certification
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge:
    • Academic experience working on a campus with students, staff and faculty
    • Experience in working with industry-standard tools and programming languages for analytics.
  • Skills:
    • Strong instructional design and course development skills
    • Effective use of learning management systems (Canvas, Blackboard, etc.)
    • Ability to facilitate engaging online, hybrid, and face-to-face instruction
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to mentor wide student populations
    • Proficient use of educational technology and digital learning tools
  • Abilities:
    • Ability to create inclusive and supportive learning environments
    • Ability to assess student learning outcomes and provide constructive feedback
    • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff
    • Ability to maintain flexible schedule to meet academic demands
    • Ability to integrate real-world human services experience into classroom instruction
Preferred Qualifications
  • Availability to teach face-to-face, hybrid, or online for both day, evening, and/or weekend courses.
  • University adjunct teaching experience in educational leadership
Required License/Registration/Certifications
  • Teacher education, state certification in subject matter
