Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University is recruiting a pool of adjunct instructors for the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs, Public Policy and Administration Program in Richmond.

The pool will be accessed as openings arise and selected candidates will be invited to teach. Responsibilities include teaching courses as needed, delivering both in-person and online, timely grading, and responsive communication.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and experience in public policy, public administration, or a related field.
• Advanced knowledge/experience in statistics or economics, or both.
• Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree and experience in public policy, publicadministration, or a related field. Advanced knowledge/experiencein the areas of statistics or economics, or both.

Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment ofrespect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty,staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or acommitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching at the collegiate level.
• Doctoral degree.

Salary Range

$1,487 per credit ($4,461 for a 3-creditcourse).
