Job summary

Texas A&M University Texarkana is seeking part-time adjunct instructors in Physics to join a pool for Fall 2026, Spring 2027 and Summer 2027, with appointments made per semester as needed.

Minimum requirements include a master's degree in the teaching discipline (or related field) with 18 graduate credit hours; applicants should be able to teach face-to-face, web-enhanced, hybrid, or online courses within CASE - Science & Mathematics.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate course administration: grading, uploading content, meeting with students, submitting grades on time, meeting census and grade deadlines.
• Join a per-semester pool for Fall 2026, Spring 2027 and Summer 2027 as needed.

Job Description

The College of Arts, Sciences, and Education (CASE) occasionally has openings for part-time adjunct instructors appointed on a per semester basis. Applying for a part-time teaching appointment in Physics adds applicants to a pool which is available to the program for selection as needed for Fall 20 26 , Spring 20 27 and/or Summer 20 27 .

Minimum educational requirements for undergraduate level courses

Master's degree in the teaching discipline or related field, including a minimum of 18 graduate level credit hours in the teaching discipline. Degree and coursework must be obtained from a regionally accredited institution.

Duties

Required to teach Physics course(s) in one or more of the following modalities: Face-to-face, web-enhanced, hybrid, or online. Courses may be conducted as a 5-week, 8-week, 10-week or 16-week term depending on the semester. Must coordinate course administrative duties such as, but not limited to, grading student work, loading all course content, such as assessments and lecture modules, meeting with students, submitting grades in a timely manner, meeting census and grade deadlines, and additional administrative duties as needed.

Compensation

$2,400 per undergraduate section taught with a master's degree; $2,900 per undergraduate section taught with a Ph D.
