Job summary

Mountain Empire Community College invites applications for adjunct instructors to teach in the School of Arts, Sciences, and Human Services. We are seeking applicants for on-campus and online instruction, with daytime, evenings, and weekend options.

Salary is based on academic preparation and work experience and is determined according to the VCCS Adjunct Pay Schedule. Applications must include unofficial transcripts; official transcripts are required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the teaching field or Associate’s in the teaching field with demonstrated competency in teaching field.
• Minimum of two years of related occupational experience.
• Teaching experience in college-level and/or dual enrollment courses.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in classroom or virtual environments to students with diverse backgrounds.
• Deliver high-quality instruction and foster an inclusive learning environment.
• Contribute to curriculum development and assessment to support student learning.
