Job description

Adjunct Instructor of Mathematics Beginning Fall Semester 2025 (POOL POSTING)

Ohio University’s Regional Campuses are accepting applications for potential adjunct faculty openings in mathematics starting Fall semester 2025-26. The need for these positions is undetermined at this time and depends on operational needs including enrollment and staffing. Candidates will be selected from this pool if a need arises.

Please complete the online application and attach the following documents:

  1. Cover letter
  2. Current resume/CV
  3. Unofficial transcripts
  4. List of at least three (3) professional references with current contact details, including email addresses
  5. Actual or proposed course syllabi for courses wishing to teach
  6. Evidence of teaching effectiveness (attached under "other" documents)

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until June 30, 2025. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.

Position Details

This is a part-time, in-person instructor position teaching undergraduate mathematics courses at the Chillicothe campus. When needed, the department will select qualified candidates from this pool.

Preference will be given to applicants who can teach the following sections:

  • MATH 1101 (Elementary Topics in Mathematics I)
  • MATH 1200 (College Algebra)

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in mathematics or related area and experience teaching undergraduate courses. A PhD and experience with Ohio transfer systems are preferred.
