JOB SUMMARY: We seek an individual passionate about teaching and invested in student success. If you desire to make a difference in the lives of undergraduate students, we invite you to apply for an adjunct faculty position in Dance. SCOPE: The Department of Performing Arts in the Getty College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio Northern University welcomes applicants for a part-time, adjunct faculty position in Dance. Candidates wiht backgrounds in all areas of Dance will be considered.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: This individual will serve as the instructor of record for a range of dance genres, including ballet, modern, jazz, tap, or other courses as assigned. Dance theory, composition, somatics, and history may also be available. Typical assignments include one to three courses each semester, depending on student demand. Questions concerning the position should be directed to the Department Chair, Dr. Joan Robbins (j-robbins@onu.edu).

REQUIRED SKILLS: The successful candidate will demonstrate good interpersonal skills, as well as the interest and ability to mentor students both inside and outside the classroom. Candidates with experience teaching undergraduate, introductory through advanced Dance courses are encouraged to apply.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in Dance or 18 hours graduate coursework in Dance is required. Those with a doctorate in Dance and experience teaching Dance at the university level are encouraged to apply.
