Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to teach assigned courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need, and maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community. Courses may include online courses and/or dual‑credit/early‑college classes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in discipline.
• Two (2) years work experience within the field.

Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Ability to plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus/outline provided to insure course content and objectives are met.
• Ability to utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of students.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching at the secondary or college level.
• Experience teaching college‑level online courses and/or documented successful training in a college online learning management system (Blackboard, Canvas).

Job Duties

• Make continuous efforts to advance the quality of instruction.
• Develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students who have differing educational and experiential backgrounds in meeting the course outcomes.
