Palm Beach State College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach Dietetics and Nutrition courses. In this role you will develop curricula, assess student learning, and participate in program evaluation aligned with the college’s mission.

Responsibilities include scheduling, faculty assignments, and coordinating test dates while supporting student success and curricular reviews. Evening and weekend availability may be required.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Dietetics or Nutrition (or Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional.
• Experience with Canvas LMS or similar instructional tech.
• Ability to interact positively with diverse populations and education levels.

About this role

Instruct college students in accordance with educational theories and techniques. Develops discipline related curricula, assess student learning, participates in program evaluation, and college activities. Maintains college and department standards in support of the College's mission and strategic plan.

What an Adjunct Instructor’s Day looks like:

• Develops, maintains, interprets, and executes administrative procedures and practices. This activity includes developing and maintaining manuals regarding the College's policies, procedures, rules, and standards.
• Analyzes class and program needs of the College. Determines and recommends the retention or deletion of courses.
• Develops and coordinates program and course schedules, faculty assignments, and test dates. Maintains calendar as necessary to track these schedules and adjusts as required.
• Assist students and program curriculum, program and course reviews, and articulation activities.

Education and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Dietetics or Nutrition OR Master’s degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Dietetics or Nutrition

Knowledge of:

• Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
• Utilize Canvas Learning Management System and other instructional technologies

Ability to:

• Interact positively with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public.

Work Environment and Physical Demand:

• Reach and grasp objects
• Stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl

• Use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills

Pay Rates:

Standard hourly rates vary based on the assigned course level and educational credentials.

Must have the ability to work a fluctuating schedule to include evenings and weekends.
