Position Summary Information

Position Title: Adjunct Instructor, Nurse Aide: Job Hire Immediately

Expected Work Schedule: Variable

Anticipated Days: Part-time, days or evenings and/or Saturdays as needed up to 29 hours per week, dependent on class enrollment.

Anticipated Hours per Week: Part-time, days or evenings occasional Saturdays as needed, up to 29 hours per week. Flexible schedule within guidelines.

Job Description Summary

Instruct Nurse Aide students in the “art of bedside nursing” through engaging classroom curriculum, skills lab, and clinical settings/scenarios.

Duties

Instruct Nurse Aide students in didactic, skills lab, and clinical settings/scenarios. Ensure that all training and skill activities adhere to the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation guidelines. Use your expertise to pass the torch of nursing to the next generation of health care providers.

Minimum Requirements
  1. BSN, ADN, Diploma RN or higher nursing degree;
  2. Two years of minimum direct patient care as RN;
  3. Active, current unencumbered North Carolina Registered Nurse license;
  4. Possess or have the willingness to obtain current American Heart Association Instructor Certification in Adult CPR.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  1. Manage and ensure proper documentation required by a North Carolina state-approved Nurse Aide Training Program;
  2. Effectively communicate with a diverse student population using various teaching methods.
Preferred Qualifications

The qualifications are not required:

  1. One year of experience in a long-term care facility or in providing care for the chronically ill;
  2. Familiarity with local health care facilities;
  3. Experience teaching adult learners.

Salary Range
