Job summary

Palm Beach State College seeks an adjunct health science instructor to teach and develop curriculum in alignment with established educational theories and techniques.

You will assess student learning, participate in program evaluation, and help maintain college standards in support of PBSC’s mission and strategic plan. Work schedule varies with teaching assignments, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Health Science or related field; OR Doctoral Degree Health Science or related field.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional.
• Utilize Canvas Learning Management System and other instructional technologies.
• Ability to interact positively with diverse populations of students, faculty, staff, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains, interprets, and executes administrative procedures and practices.
• Analyzes class and program needs of the College. Determines and recommends the retention or deletion of courses.
• Develops and coordinates program and course schedules, faculty assignments, and test dates.
• Assist students and program curriculum, program and course reviews, and articulation activities.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

• Develops, maintains, interprets, and executes administrative procedures and practices. This activity includes developing and maintaining manuals regarding the College's policies, procedures, rules, and standards.
• Analyzes class and program needs of the College. Determines and recommends the retention or deletion of courses.
• Develops and coordinates program and course schedules, faculty assignments, and test dates. Maintains calendar as necessary to track these schedules and adjusts as required.
• Assist students and program curriculum, program and course reviews, and articulation activities.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Master’s Degree in Health Science or related field.

OR

Doctoral Degree Health Science or related field.

Knowledge of:

• Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
• Utilize Canvas Learning Management System and other instructional technologies

Ability to:

• Interact positively with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public.

Pay Rates:

Standard hourly rates vary based on the assigned course level and educational credentials.

Must have the ability to work a fluctuating schedule to include evenings and weekends.
