Job summary

The position requires a Master’s degree (or 18 graduate hours) in English-related fields and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Canvas LMS. Evening/weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in English, Literature, Creative Writing, or Linguistics or Master’s degree and 18 graduate semester hours in English, Literature, Creative Writing, or Linguistics.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications.
• Utilize Canvas Learning Management System and other instructional technologies

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains, interprets, and executes administrative procedures and practices. This activity includes developing and maintaining manuals regarding the College's policies, procedures, rules, and standards.
• Analyzes class and program needs of the College. Determines and recommends the retention or deletion of courses.
• Develops and coordinates program and course schedules, faculty assignments, and test dates. Maintains calendar as necessary to track these schedules and adjusts as required.
• Assist students and program curriculum, program and course reviews, and articulation activities.

What an Adjunct Instructor’s Day looks like

Education and Experience:

• Master’s degree in English, Literature, Creative Writing, or Linguistics or Master’s degree and 18 graduate semester hours in English, Literature, Creative Writing, or Linguistics

Knowledge of:

• Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications

• Utilize Canvas Learning Management System and other instructional technologies

Ability to:

Work Environment and Physical Demand:

Pay Rates:

Standard hourly rates vary based on the assigned course level and educational credentials.

Must have the ability to work a fluctuating schedule to include evenings and weekends.
