Job summary

Job Summary

This part-time adjunctfaculty position requires teaching in-person and/or online undergraduate courses in the Kinesiotherapy degree program on an as needed basis.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Face-to-face and/or online coursedelivery and instruction.
  • Prepare and submit syllabi,grades and other required course documentation in a timely manner.
  • Communicate courserequirements and expectations to students.
  • Communicate with otherprogram and school-level faculty.
  • Performs other duties, asassigned.
Minimum Qualifications

Master's Degree or higherfrom an accredited college or university in Kinesiotherapy or a relatedfield (ex: Doctorate in Physical Therapy). Ability to teach effectively,according to University standards, in the undergraduate Recreational Therapyprogram.Criminal history and background check clearance.Uphold themission and values of USM, College of Nursing and Health Professions, and theSchool of Health Professions.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Specialized knowledge inthe field of Kinesiotherapy as demonstrated by graduate level courseworkor professional experience is required.
  • Candidates should have theability to deliver accurate, concise and quality communication (verbal andwritten) in a timely manner.
  • Candidates should have theability to work collaboratively on interdisciplinary teams.
  • Candidates should have theability to navigate and use learning management systems for teaching, such asCanvas, as well as other technological communications (Microsoft Office Suite).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching, mentoring, and/orservice experience at the university level
  • Professional experience in Kinesiotherapy
  • Experience with USM'sLearning Management System, Canvas.
