Adjunct Instructor, Information Technology, UC Blue Ash College

The Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science Department at UC Blue Ash is seeking qualified candidates for a general pool of adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate courses in Information Technology. Courses may include Systems Administration, Introduction to Networking, Programming, Web Development, and Databases. Classes can be in-person, online, or hybrid, with class sizes of 15-30 students. Adjunct instructors typically teach 1-2 courses per semester, with classes scheduled during day or evening hours. This position does not offer Visa or green card sponsorship.

Essential Functions
  • Teach assigned undergraduate courses on a part-time basis.
  • Utilize our course management system (Canvas) and other relevant classroom technology.
  • Hold regular office hours to meet with students.
  • Evaluate student coursework using best practices.
  • Participate in activities supporting teaching responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field. A Master’s in education may be considered with sufficient college-level IT/CS teaching experience and graduate credits.
  • At least one year of college-level teaching experience.
