Job summary

Arizona Western College is seeking an adjunct faculty member to deliver high-quality instruction across courses, incorporating technology and current content. The candidate will foster an inclusive classroom, manage records, and communicate professionally while adhering to policies and standards.

Responsibilities include developing course content, administering assessments, and providing timely feedback and grades through the LMS.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in the discipline, OR Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the discipline OR Master’s degree in any discipline with three years of full-time work experience related to the course(s) taught.
• Bachelor’s degree with an industry recognized license or certification and three years of full-time work experience, OR Bachelor's degree with a current Arizona teaching certificate in the discipline and three full-time years teaching in the content area
• Experience teaching in a community college preferred, but not required; experience must be demonstrated on application materials

Responsibilities

• Delivers high-quality instruction using relevant classroom technology.
• Maintains accurate records and submits reports on time.
• Creates and updates course content aligned with curriculum goals and student outcomes.
• Provides instruction and feedback through the LMS and other platforms.
• Maintains confidentiality and FERPA compliance in all records and communications.
• Supports strategic planning and participates in departmental initiatives.
