Job summary

Williamsburg Technical College is seeking HVAC Adjunct Instructors to deliver instruction to a diverse student body, combining hands-on and theoretical teaching. You will prepare course materials, manage records, and coordinate with faculty to meet course objectives.

Lectures, discussions, and assessments will be conducted using Brightspace D2L, with a flexible schedule across online, hybrid, and on-campus formats.

Qualifications

• Academic preparation in HVAC/R at associate degree level or equivalent work experience or certification.

Responsibilities

Join Williamsburg Technical College! We're looking for HVAC Adjunct Instructors.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Instruction delivered to a diverse student body using effective teaching strategies. Maintain high level of excellence in teaching by communication and interacting effectively. Instruction includes hands on and theory, classroom management, and administrative tasks (reports, syllabus, lesson plan development).
• Prepare materials needed for course instruction and testing. Keep student records and adhere to course schedules.
• Utilize learning management systems (Brightspace D2L) to communicate with students. Conduct lectures, discussions, and other teaching activities. Relates instruction and material to course objectives.
• Provide students with course syllabi and correlate grade assignments with skill and course competency.
• Submit grades, attendance, reports and records in timely manner.
• Flexible Schedule is required (i.e. day/evening). Courses may be delivered in various formats; distance education, online, hybrid, in-person, dual enrollment (local high schools), on and off campus, correctional facilities, etc..

Minimum And Additional Requirements

Academic preparation in the field of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration at the associate degree level or academic preparation coupled with work experience or recognized certification in HVAC/R
