Job summary

Houston City College is seeking a part-time instructor to support the college curriculum and programs. The instructor will teach clinical courses at multiple sites around the city, provide academic advising and participate in professional development and service activities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher, with a Master’s degree preferred in health sciences or related field, and at least 3 years of experience in human services or health sciences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• 3 years’ experience in the field of human services, health science or related area required.
• Must be eligible to teach clinical courses at HCC's affiliate sites by meeting any requirements for entry set by the affiliate sites.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses at a number of sites around the city.
• Contribute to advising and program activities as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
• Participate in department, college or system meetings and activities.
