• Develops, maintains, interprets, and executes administrative procedures and practices.
• Develops and maintains manuals regarding the College's policies, procedures, rules, and standards.
• Analyzes class and program needs of the College.
• Determines and recommends the retention or deletion of courses.
• Develops and coordinates program and course schedules, faculty assignments, and test dates.
• Maintains calendar to track these schedules and adjusts as required.
• Assist students and program curriculum, program and course reviews, and articulation activities.

About this role

Instruct college students in accordance with educational theories and techniques. Develops discipline related curricula, assess student learning, participates in program evaluation, and college activities. Maintains college and department standards in support of the College's mission and strategic plan.

Work schedule varies according to teaching assignment.

What an Adjunct Instructor's Day looks like :

Education and Experience:

Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Graphic Design OR bachelor's degree in graphic design, Multimedia, and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline which can be documented. And Demonstrated technology skills in Adobe Cloud and documented work experience (through a portfolio).

Knowledge of:

• Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
• Utilize Canvas Learning Management System and other instructional technologies

Ability to:

• Interact positively with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public.

Work Environment and Physical Demand:

• Reach and grasp objects
• Stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Use of video display terminal
• Use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills
• Communicate information orally and in writing
• Receive and understand information through oral and written communication
• Proofread and check documents for accuracy

Pay Rates:

Standard hourly rates vary based on the assigned course level and educational credentials.

Must have the ability to work a fluctuating schedule to include evenings and weekends.

Background Check/ Drug Screen may be required based on the specific requirements of the position for which the application is being submitted. Employment is contingent upon pass
