Job summary

Kilgore College invites applications for an adjunct faculty position in the History, Government & Geography department to teach Government courses. Responsibilities include developing syllabi and supporting students as needed.

The candidate should hold a master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Government; teaching experience at the college level is preferred. All positions require physical presence at Kilgore, TX or Longview, TX campuses.

Position Details:

This position is part of the teaching faculty within the History, Government & Geography department and reports to the Department Chair.

Responsibilities:

This is an adjunct faculty position. Responsibilities will include teaching one or more Government courses, developing appropriate course syllabi, and working with students as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

The successful candidate for this position will have a masters degree or higher and a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Government. Preference will be given to applicants with college level teaching experience.

Salary Range & Fringe Benefits:

• Salary for adjunct faculty members is based upon level of education and range from $1,800 per 3-hour course for a master's degree to $2,000 per 3-hour course for a doctorate.

All full-time positions are located in Kilgore, TX. No fully work from home positions are available at this time. All employees must be available to physically present to work on the Kilgore, TX or Longview, TX Campus. Some Part-Time and Adjunct positions may be offsite but the candidate MUST live in the State of Texas.

Positions will remain open until filled. Some Adjunct and Part-Time teaching positions may remain open perpetually as the need for part time instructors fluctuates with student enrollment. Teaching positions will be required to submit official transcripts upon an offer of employment. An offer of employment will be contingent upon passing a background check.
