We are looking for an Online General Education Instructor to join our team.
This position involves instructing general education courses in the ASVN, BSN, and RN to BSN degree completion programs.
Responsibilities:
- Teach courses such as Psychology, Public Speaking, Sociology, History, Ethics, Political Science, and Critical Reasoning.
- Develop and update coursework for assigned classes.
- Continuously improve instructional quality by adopting innovative methodologies and techniques.
- Review and revise syllabi and instructional guidelines.
- Evaluate students regularly to track their progress and inform them promptly.
- Contribute to strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives to ensure program quality.
- Maintain student records of attendance and grades; assist with data collection.
- Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver course content effectively.
- Ensure ongoing communication with students through scheduled office hours and electronic communication.
- Participate in professional development and maintain CE hours for licensure renewal if applicable.
- Engage with a multicultural and multigenerational student body.
- Attend quarterly online faculty meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean-Online Programs or Program Director-Online Nursing.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree required; Doctoral Degree preferred.
- Experience mentoring students and demonstrating strong communication skills.
- Previous online teaching experience utilizing an LMS is required.
- Background in educational methodology, education theory, practice, or current clinical practice relevant to the teaching subjects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
