This is a part-time, exempt position.

General Description:

William Woods University is accepting applications for a part-time adjunct faculty to teach up to two sections of BIO 115 – Biology I for Majors Lab. Classes are offered every Monday (1-4 pm and 6-9 pm). The weekly lab activities are already prepared. The instructor's responsibilities include facilitating the lab, grading lab reports, and managing lab materials.

Position Requirements:
  • A doctorate in biology is preferred; applicants with a master’s in biology will be considered.
  • Experience teaching labs and professional experience in related fields is preferred.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in the relevant field is required.
  • Experience teaching at the graduate level is a plus.
  • Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to build professional relationships with diverse constituents.
  • Ability to work independently on projects.
  • Outstanding conflict resolution skills.
