Job summary

HUTCHINSON COMMUNITY COLLEGE invites applications for part-time faculty to teach in listed disciplines such as Art, Economics, English, Geography, Political Science, History, Developmental Studies, Music, Philosophy and Ethics, Religion, Speech, Spanish, Theatre.

A Master’s degree in the discipline or a Master’s in another field with 18 graduate hours in the discipline is required; college teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in the discipline required, or a Master’s in another field with 18 graduate credits in the discipline.
  • College teaching experience.
  • Ability and willingness to teach via alternative delivery systems.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective professional relationships.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with individuals from diverse populations.
  • Physical and mental requirements must be met with or without accommodation.
  • Alternative qualifications may be substituted if sufficient to perform the duties.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned courses in one of the listed disciplines.
  • Plan and implement activities to supplement instruction.
  • Maintain records and submit grade sheets in a timely manner.
  • Log into the learning management system daily and respond to emails.
  • Arrive on time, attend work regularly, and fulfill responsibilities.
  • Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures and practices.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
