Job summary

Job description

Adjunct Faculty – Art

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach up to seven semester credit hours (up to two courses).
  • Instruction may be delivered on‑campus, off‑campus, or online; may occur during day and/or evening as dictated by student demand and departmental needs.
  • Develop and manage the class syllabus and ensure that it meets department and college standards.
  • Plan and create lectures, in‑class discussions, and assignments.
  • Assess grades for students based on participation, performance in class, assignments, and examinations.
  • Assist/mentor students as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the field required to teach undergraduate courses, OR a terminal degree in the field of study or closely related required to teach graduate courses.
  • Experience: Demonstrated expertise in the subject area.
  • Knowledge / Skills: Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current relevant professional credentials.
  • College or University teaching experience.
  • Evidence of teaching excellence.
  • Prior relevant industry experience.
  • Online or hybrid teaching experience.
