Job summary

Ball State University is seeking qualified part-time instructors to teach on-campus undergraduate courses in Family Science/Human Development and Family Science.

Adjunct instructors provide high-quality instruction, develop course materials in Canvas, assess student learning, and collaborate with program faculty. Courses may be up to 3 per semester and taught on Ball State University's campus in Muncie, Indiana.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Family Science, Human Development and Family Science, Child Development, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field
• Academic preparation or professional experience relevant to the assigned course
• Ability to teach on campus during the scheduled course meeting times
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to supporting the learning and success of undergraduate students

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, student-centered instruction
• Develop and maintain course materials in Canvas
• Assess student learning and progress
• Communicate regularly with students
• Collaborate with program faculty as needed
• Adjunct instructors may teach up to 3 courses (9 credit hours) per semester
