Job summary

Delaware Technical Community College - Stanton Campus in Newark, DE seeks an adjunct instructor for Environmental/Civil Engineering Technology to teach AET 100 and CET 240 during Fall 2026 (Aug 24–Dec 6). The position supports curriculum delivery, student learning, and engagement in a part-time, temporary capacity.

Responsibilities include developing and improving curricula, using the LMS, maintaining office hours, evaluating progress, advising students, and participating in program activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Four years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and instruct courses as assigned, using LMS and engaging instructional strategies.
• Maintain six posted office hours per week and monitor student progress.
• Evaluate student learning and keep timely records of grades and attendance.
• Collaborate with faculty to support program accreditation and curriculum development.
• Advise students and provide guidance to promote retention and progression.
