Adjunct Instructor, English Creative Writing at UC Clermont

You are invited to submit an application to be included in the general pool of candidates from which qualified faculty roles will be filled. The number of positions varies depending on the needs of the department and there is no guarantee that an open position currently exists. Appointments are renewed based on departmental need and teaching performance. Classes may be day or evening. Rank and compensation are based on experience and academic credentials.

Job Overview

UC Clermont College is seeking applications from English/Creative Writing instructors for a Writer in Residence in Creative Writing for the 2023-24 academic year. Applications are being accepted on a continuous basis to be included in the general pool of candidates from which part-time faculty are selected to teach face-to-face and online classes in Creative Writing, as well as facilitate writing workshops in the local Clermont/Brown County communities. This appointment includes teaching one or two classes per semester, with the remainder of the workload made up in community-related face-to-face activities.

Essential Functions
  • On a part-time basis, conduct, teach, and assess assigned undergraduate courses and seminars.
  • Serve as a community liaison for workshops, readings, etc.
  • Review, and where necessary, respond in a timely manner to all University-related communications.
Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in appropriate/closely related field and teaching experience in creative writing.
