Kilgore College is seeking a part-time faculty member for its Math, Engineering and Physics Department. The role involves teaching Statics and Dynamics courses, with responsibilities including instruction and student evaluation, requiring a Master’s Degree in Engineering.
Position Details:
This position is part of the teaching faculty within the Math, Engineering and Physics Department and reports to the Department Chair.
Responsibilities:
This is a part-time faculty position. The responsibilities include teaching two college-level Engineering courses in the Spring Semester, each worth four credit hours: Statics and Dynamics. Both courses are offered four days per week (Monday – Thursday) in an eight-week format. These courses may be taught in a hybrid format (partially face-to-face and partially online) and will require the use of instructional technology. Engineering faculty members are responsible for teaching, supervising learning experiences, and evaluating student performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Master’s Degree or higher with at least eighteen graduate hours in Engineering is required. Preference will be given to applicants with college teaching experience. Candidates should have a mastery of Engineering and a commitment to teaching excellence.
Salary Range & Fringe Benefits:
Kilgore College does not participate in the federal Social Security program.
All full-time positions are located in Kilgore, TX. No fully remote positions are available. Employees must be able to work on-site at Kilgore, TX or Longview, TX campuses. Some Part-Time and Adjunct positions may be offsite, but candidates must reside in Texas.

Additional Information:
Positions remain open until filled. Some adjunct and part-time positions may remain open indefinitely due to fluctuating enrollment. Teaching positions require official transcripts upon employment offer and passing a background check. Employment is contingent upon proof of legal authorization to work in the U.S. within three days of hire. All employment is subject to approval by the college's Board of Trustees.
