Job Description Summary

Candidates will be expected to work within the dental assisting and dental hygiene clinics/labs. Candidates should be passionate educators and practitioners who can facilitate the needs of diverse 21st-century learners aspiring to practice in the respective field. Candidates should have current knowledge of clinical dental hygiene and dentistry. Broward College emphasizes helping under-prepared students achieve academic success. Candidates should demonstrate mastery of their discipline, a commitment to fostering student success, achievement, and persistence, and the use of resources that prepare students for productive lives.

Minimum Education
  • A Doctorate Degree in Dentistry (DMD or DDS) required.
  • Graduated from a Dental School within the United States.
Minimum Experience/Training
  • Minimum of two years’ clinical experience preferred.
  • Prior college teaching experience is preferred. Willingness to complete teaching methodology training.
  • The candidate must have a background in and current knowledge of clinical dental hygiene and dentistry, and a commitment to teaching.
  • Willingness and ability to teach in both traditional face-to-face and blended (hybrid) formats.
Minimum Certification/Licenses
  • Active Dental License issued within the United States (Florida preferred)
  • Active CPR Certification
