Job Summary

Dental Hygiene Instructor – Candidates must be passionate educators who facilitate the needs of 21st century learners, pursue student success, sustain a commitment to the college mission, bring mastery of their discipline, and employ technology and counseling strategies that promote 21st century literacies.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate dental hygiene courses in both traditional face‑to‑face and blended (hybrid) formats.
• Provide office hours and, as required, evening and/or weekend hours.
• Use technology, teaching/counseling skills and strategies, and additional resources to help students prepare for productive lives.
• Support under‑prepared students in achieving academic success.
• Maintain current knowledge of clinical dental hygiene procedures, duties and latest practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene or a related field (CODA‑accredited program preferred).
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Prior college teaching experience preferred.
• Willingness to complete teaching methodology training.
• Dental Hygiene License with local anesthesia certification.
• Active CPR certification.
