Department Summary


The Department of Dance & Theatre offers a B.A. in Theatre, a B.A. in Theatre with a Concentration in Performance, a B.A. in Theatre with a Concentration in Design/Tech, a Theatre Teacher Certification, a Theatre minor, and a Theatre Technologies Certificate. A graduate degree in Theatre is currently not offered.


Position Overview


The Department of Dance & Theatre seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2024, Spring 2025 and Summer 2025 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.

The anticipated need is for Ballet - all levels, Contemporary - all levels, Stress Reduction through Movement, Dance Appreciation, Hip Hop I & II, Jazz and/or Tap technique levels I & II, Survey of World Dance, Social Club Dance, Musical Theatre Dance, African Dance, Choreography courses, and Laban Studies


Minimum Qualifications


M.A. or M.F.A. in Dance.


Preferred Qualifications


Experience teaching in Higher Education.

Terminal degree in discipline is preferred.
