Overview

Part‑time instructor (Rank I or Rank II) teaching 3‑credit Criminal Justice courses for Broward College. The role focuses on preparing 21st‑century learners for productive lives through mastery of discipline, technology, and student‑centered teaching.

Responsibilities

• Teach and design 3‑credit Criminal Justice courses that promote student success, achievement, and persistence.
• Integrate technology and teaching strategies that enhance 21st‑century literacies.
• Hold office hours and, when required, teach evenings or weekends to accommodate student schedules.
• Maintain up‑to‑date course materials, assessments, and grading records in compliance with institutional policies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Forensic Science, or a related field (or a Master’s with at least 18 graduate credits in the specified areas).
• Juris Doctor (Law) degree with active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar Association.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of full‑time experience in the Criminal Justice/Corrections field.
• Professional teaching experience at the college level or experience in law‑enforcement or corrections training courses is preferred.
• High level of computer literacy and a commitment to continuous teaching improvement.
