Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with at least 18 graduate hours in the field
• Previous teaching experience using interactive teaching techniques
• Experience using assessment techniques to promote teaching and learning excellence
• Ability to work well with a diverse community and communicate effectively
• Interest in teaching community college students and collaboration with others
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with information technology (Microsoft Office)

Responsibilities

• Provide quality instruction reflective of current standards using approved curriculum
• Collaborate with full-time instructors to develop curriculum, objectives, and materials
• Address student issues with appropriate personnel while maintaining confidentiality
• Create an inclusive, accessible classroom environment and engage diverse learners
• Present content respectfully and professionally, encouraging active participation
• Participate in department and division meetings and college initiatives
• Maintain exemplary attendance and punctuality and comply with policies
