Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver comprehensive and engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and learning objectives.
  2. Provide theoretical and practical instruction in areas such as medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, clinical procedures, patient care, and medical office administration.
  3. Demonstrate and model proper techniques, safety practices, and ethical standards in medical assisting.
  4. Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement, participation, and growth.
  5. Supervise and provide hands-on guidance to students during laboratory work, simulations, and clinical practice.
  6. Assess student progress through evaluations, examinations, and practical assessments.
  7. Provide constructive feedback and guidance to support students' professional development and clinical skills.
  8. Identify and address individual learning needs and support students who may require it.
  9. Stay up-to-date with current medical practices, industry trends, and advancements in medical assisting.
  10. Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to curriculum development, program enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  11. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom and laboratory environment.
  12. Serve as a mentor and resource for students, offering guidance and support in their medical assistant journey.

Required Education:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Certification in Medical Assisting (CMA, RMA, CCMA).
  3. Certification in Phlebotomy Technician.
  4. Certification in EKG Technician.

Required Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a practicing medical assistant.

Required Licenses or Certifications:

  1. Certification in Medical Assisting (CMA, RMA, CCMA).
  2. Certification in CPT.

Preferred Education: An associate degree or higher in medical assisting, nursing, or a related field.

Preferred Experience:

  1. At least four (4) years of practical work experience in a medical environment, with hands-on knowledge of related procedures.
  2. At least two years of experience in teaching related material.
