The University of Pittsburgh, School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, Department of Counseling and Behavioral Health, is seeking a part-time adjunct instructor for COUN 2724: Career Counseling and Vocational Issues for the spring term (Jan 1–Apr 30, 2027). The instructor will teach, develop materials, meet with students, and maintain a professional educational environment.

Responsibilities include revising curricula and syllabi, ensuring intellectual integrity, and participating in program

Qualifications

Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
Doctoral degree preferred.
Active certification and professional licenses as applicable.
Experience teaching and knowledge of teaching/learning processes.

Responsibilities

Teach COUN 2724: Career Counseling and Vocational Issues.
Prepare course materials and provide availability for student meetings.
Maintain a professional educational environment and follow the provided syllabus.
Participate in curriculum and syllabus revisions and ensure intellectual integrity.
Engage in university, school, department, and program evaluations (OMETs, peer reviews).
Regularly meet with the Program Director and course lead.
