Qualifications

• Master’s degree in American Sign Language or Education for the Hearing Impaired with fluency in ASL, or Master’s Degree and 18 graduate credit hours in ASL, or Bachelor’s degree in ASL, Sign Language Interpreting, or Education of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing with fluency in ASL and National Certification or ASLTA Certification and demonstrated competency in teaching. Ph.D. preferred.
• Prior college teaching experience is preferred.
• High level of computer literacy and a commitment to teaching.
• A mastery of the specific discipline, a deep commitment to the college mission of fostering student success, achievement and persistence, technology competencies, and the use of resources that prepare students for productive lives.
