Qualifications

• Knowledge of courtroom terminology and legal concepts.
• Familiarity with court procedures and rules of evidence.
• Preferred: experience as a prosecutor or defense attorney in criminal trials.

Responsibilities

• Developing and/or updating a class syllabus.
• Ordering the appropriate books and materials for the course start date.
• Preparing lectures, projects or other student assignments.
• Maintaining two hours of office hours per week.
• Presenting instruction based on class competencies and performance levels.
• Meeting all designated class periods and arranging substitutes when needed.
• Working with the academic unit to maintain student learning outcomes.
• Submitting completed final grades according to University regulations.
• Grading student work in a timely manner.
• Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed evaluations.
• Completing all course-related duties as outlined by the department.
