Position Description Summary/Purpose

The UB Acupuncture Institute invites applications for adjunctinstructors in our graduate MS-Acupuncture and Doctor ofAcupuncture with Chinese Herbal Medicine programs. We have severalopenings for part‑time faculty with expertise in TCM herbs andclinical supervision with Spanish speaking skills. These positionsare generally appointed on a semester‑by‑semester basis.

Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities

• Teaching 1-2 clinical shifts under the supervision of theAcupuncture Institute Clinical Chair; Clinical supervision is oncampus in Bridgeport, CT
• Teaching online or hybrid courses in TCM material medical andformulae
• Teaching schedule may include days, evenings and/or weekends;teaching maybe online or hybrid
• Conducts all work in a safe manner and all work safetypractices are followed.

Other Functions

• Performs similar or related work as required, directed or assituation dictates.
• Continues professional development and training; keeps currentwith trends.
• Assists other department staff as needed to promote a teameffort.

Knowledge, Ability and Skill

• Demonstrated commitment to developing and fostering bestpractices and policies to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion,and build an environment in which all members of the Universitycommunity are treated with respect and dignity.
• Teaching experience with recent clinical teaching experience inan academic setting
• Clinical supervisory experience

• Current CPR card

• Current Acupuncture licensure in the State of CT
