Job summary

Mount Carmel College of Nursing in Columbus, OH is seeking an Adjunct Instructor for Clinicals to provide instruction in the classroom, laboratory and clinical settings, and to contribute to evaluating student learning and maintaining academic records.

The immediate need is for Medical Surgical and Critical Care clinical instruction. Requirements include a BSN and MSN, an active Ohio RN license, and CPR certification for clinical teaching; teaching experience at the college level is preferred.

Qualifications

Adjunct Instructor for Clinicals

Position Purpose

The Adjunct Faculty functions within the mission and strategic plan of Mount Carmel College of Nursing. The primary function of this position is the periodic instruction of Mount Carmel College of Nursing students in the classroom, laboratory, and or clinical setting. The Adjunct Faculty contributes to evaluating student learning and performance and maintains academic records regarding students' progress, and participates in the planning and implementation of learning experiences that support the learners’ ability to achieve stated outcomes.

Current primary need is for Medical Surgical and Critical Care Clinical Instruction.

Minimum Requirements

• Education/Experience: Bachelors and Masters of Science in Nursing
• License / Certification: Must hold a current active unrestricted applicable license in the State of Ohio as an RN.
• Current CPR certification is required if teaching in a clinical setting
• Teaching experience in a collegiate or university setting is preferred.
• Effective Communication Skills
