Job summary

Grayson College invites applications for an Adjunct In-Person Psychology Professor. This role will instruct psychology lecture classes and ensure students meet learning outcomes in line with college standards.

The position is IN-PERSON; teaching locations may include dual credit high school, South Campus, or Main Campus classrooms. Salary is $700 per credit hour, with responsibilities spanning teaching, departmental teamwork, and program assessment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher with 18 hours of graduate courses in Psychology from an accredited college or university.
• Experience teaching Psychology at university or community college level; professional experience may be equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to engage students in the learning process and commitment to student success.
• Collegial attitude with college community and external entities.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple assignments.
• Experience tracking student learning outcomes, analyzing data, and implementing improvement plans.
• Excellent computer and multimedia skills.

Responsibilities

• Teaches no more than 9 credit hours per semester (approx. 75%).
• Works as a team member in the Social Sciences Department; complies with faculty responsibilities.
• Contributes to campus assessment by measuring and reporting student learning outcomes per THECB Core Objectives and SACSCOC.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean, Associate Dean or Department Chair.

Adjunct In-Person Psychology Professor

Adjunct In-Person Psychology Professor: This position will have primary responsibility for instructing lecture classes in the subject of Psychology following the academic standards of Grayson College. This position works to ensure that students reach learning outcomes.

This is an IN-PERSON teaching position. Teaching locations may include dual credit high school, South Campus or Main Campus classrooms.

The salary for this position is $700/per credit hour.

Responsibilities:

• 75% Teaches no more than 9 credit hours per semester.
• 10% Works as a team member in the Social Sciences Department; complies with all faculty responsibilities as outlined in college policies and procedures.
• 10% Contributes to campus assessment process by measuring and reporting student learning outcomes as directed to meet THECB Core Objectives and SACSCOC requirements.
• 5% Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean, Associate Dean or Department Chair.
