Overview

LCCC is looking for adjuncts to teach courses in the field of Health Information Management or Health Administration. Pay: $900 per credit hour.

Summary

This position will involve teaching a variety of face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses in automated health information processing management. The position reports to the Dean of Healthcare Sciences, Aviation, Mathematics, and Science.

Qualifications

• Education
• Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education in the field of Health Information Management or Health Administration.
• Foreign degrees – must provide a US equivalency report of your degree credentials with your transcript; otherwise, your resume will not be accepted.

Certifications

• Act 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, Act 114 FBI Clearance Fingerprinting)
• Must be certified as a registered health information technician (RHIT) or registered health information administrator (RHIA).

Work Experience

• Must be proficient in ICD-10, CPT Coding, and Clinical Documentation Improvement.
• Teaching experience.
• Familiarity with mission of comprehensive community college.
• Experience working with diverse populations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Teaching experience in a community college health information technology program.
• Experience in the development of curriculum and course materials.
• Experience teaching in a virtual classroom fully utilizing an electronics, learning management system.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
