Saint Xavier University invites applications for part‑time adjunct faculty to teach Applied Guitar, Guitar Ensemble, and Guitar Class. The instructor will plan and deliver courses in in‑person, online, hybrid formats with assessment and timely paperwork.

Courses include Guitar Class for non‑majors (Tuesdays/Thursdays 12:30–1:50 PM), Guitar Ensemble (Tuesdays 2:00–3:20 PM), and Applied Guitar beginning August 25th. Remote exploring options may be available as needed.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Music or a closely related field; Master’s degree acceptable.
• Evidence of highly effective teaching experience, including developing instructional materials and assessments.
• Teaching training.
• Residency in Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, or Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Teach Guitar Class (beginning guitar to non‑majors on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 12:30-1:50 PM).
• Teach Guitar Ensemble (Tuesdays from 2:00-3:20 PM).
• Provide Applied Guitar lessons starting August 25th.
• Course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, and/or online delivery modes (in-person preferred).
• Student evaluation, departmental communication, and timely submission of required paperwork.
