Job summary

College of the Mainland is seeking Adjunct Government Instructors to join our part-time faculty. The immediate need is for 1-2 lecture classes in a live classroom format on campus at Texas City.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s degree or higher in Political Science/Government, or a Master’s with 18 graduate hours in Political Science/Government, and have teaching experience. Familiarity with online instruction and D2L is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Political Science/Government or Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Political Science/Government.
• Teaching experience.
• Familiar with D2L.
• Most preferred: Ability to teach Texas Government.
• Knowledge of student engagement techniques, learning styles, retention strategies, and learning-centered philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Classroom and/or Online assignment(s) as needed. The most immediate need is for 1-2 lecture classes in a live classroom format (on campus).
