Adjunct - FY25 HEALTH CARE ANCILLARY INSTRUCTOR, CNA PROGRAM

POSITION

The LACCD is accepting applications for the Adjunct Health Care Ancillary Instructor positions in the CNA Program for the 2025-2026 academic year. This posting aims to build a pool of qualified applicants for future openings. If you have applied previously, you must reapply to be considered again.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or higher with two years of professional experience, OR
  • Associate's degree with six years of related professional experience.
  • Understanding of diverse backgrounds of community college students.
  • NATP Instructor Requirements:
    Two years of RN nursing experience (with verifiable work history).
    One year of verifiable experience caring for chronically ill or elderly patients in various healthcare settings.
    Completion of a course in teaching adults or equivalent experience in teaching or supervising nurses' aides.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

The instructor should be prepared to teach CNA courses, fostering inclusive learning environments. Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing on-site instruction and visiting training sites.
  2. Planning and implementing active learning activities.
  3. Using assessment tools to measure student achievement.
  4. Distributing course policies and grading procedures.
  5. Delivering instruction accommodating different learning styles.
  6. Guiding students on academic progress and concerns.
  7. Reviewing and revising instructional methods and materials.
  8. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to enhance instruction.
COVID-19 VACCINATION ELIGIBILITY

All students and employees must be vaccinated or have an approved exemption, in accordance with LACCD policies.

COMPENSATION

Starting at $86.85/hour plus a $20.32/hour office hour differential. Doctoral degree holders may receive a differential.
