Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or higher from an institutionally accredited college.
• Certified Floral Designer ( CFD ) through the American Institute of Floral Designers.
• Two years’ experience in floral design; portfolio or documented industry experience required.
• Teaching and/or industry training in courses, trainings, or workshops.

Responsibilities

• Prepare & teach departmental courses in floral design.
• Develop learner-centered lesson plans and use diverse teaching methods.
• Incorporate current technology in classroom, distance learning and lab environments.
• Assess student learning outcomes and provide quality instruction.
• Maintain facilities, equipment and student records; ensure security and safety.
• Provide student support and refer to campus/community resources.
• Perform all duties as assigned by supervisor.
