Responsibilities include teaching foundational skills, varying speech types, and analyzing how faith context informs messages to diverse audiences. Courses are offered in-person and online; LMS experience is helpful, and a background check is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communication, Theatre, Speech, Religious Studies, Education, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience with public speaking and/or communication.
• Experience teaching, training, coaching, or mentoring students in effective oral communication.
• Ability to facilitate respectful discussion of diverse faith traditions, beliefs, and perspectives.

Responsibilities

• Teach foundational public speaking skills including research, organization, audience analysis, delivery and presentation techniques.
• Guide students in developing and presenting informative, narrative, persuasive and commemorative speeches.
• Incorporate discussion and analysis of how speakers convey ideas about faith and meaning to diverse audiences.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment and foster ethical, effective speakers and listeners.
